The Museum
of Modern Art (MoMA) |

New
York, N.Y. 2004 |
|
| MoMA recently completed
an extensive redefinition and the largest building project in its
75 year history. Designed by architect Yoshio Taniguchi, the 630,000
square foot museum is nearly twice the size of its former facility.
Infra-Structures executed the architect’s design for three monumental
desks that serve as sculptural focal points in the museum entrance
lobby. Large, monolithic stone slabs requiring extensive structural
steel support and functional architectural millwork were engineered
and manufactured to extremely specific tolerances by Infra-Structures.
