| FEMA, the U.S. government
agency tasked with disaster mitigation, preparedness, response and
recovery planning, is upgrading its facilities throughout the country.
After Hurricane Katrina in 2005, the Department of Homeland Security
decreed that the Atlanta regional operations center would be fully
functional before the start of hurricane season, June 1, 2006. Infra-Structures
provided architectural design and planning services and manufactured
custom command center workstation consoles and furniture and integrated
the electronic display systems that facilitate collaboration with
all emergency relief efforts. |
